I have been taking oral contraceptives (birth control pills) for almost a year after an unwanted prenancy occurred because I did not use protection when having sex.
What your girlfriend is experiencing could be something called breakthrough bleeding. It is not uncommon to have spotting and light bleeding while taking the active pills.
And just the fact that she is bleeding means she is not pregnant. Basically, that is the only time to worry. If your girlfriend does not get her period when she's supposed to, then you can worry about it, otherwise everything's probably okay.
Birth control is 99% effective when taken correctly...just keep that in mind.

There is approximately a 95% chance that she will not get pregnant, but that means that 5 out of every 100 people who are on birth control will get pregnant. ALWAYS use a condom, even if she's on the birth control pill. You don't want to be stuck making 216 monthly payments (18 years) of child support of a child you were not ready for. Also, there are many different pills and she should talk with her doctor to see which one is best for her if the pills she's on isn't going well with her body.

The red brown fluid is blood mixed with dry blood. He body just might be responding to the pill with spoting but the pill isn't my choice of birth control. Way to many pill babies out there so I stick with the depo shot which is a lot more effective and is taken every three months. After about six to nine months my boyfriend and I stopped using condoms and three years later we still haven't had a baby. I would talk about different types of birth control she is comfortable with then go to the doctor about the pill she is on. Also an up side for her on the depo is no periods at all after about 9 months only maybe a little spotting when it is becoming time to get another shot. If you do decide to stay on the pill keep what is called plan B on hand in case she forgets the pill which happens a lot and that is why there are so many pill babies. I knew a woman who was on the pill and had faturnal twins!

First of all, if you just had sex lastnight.
There is no way she could be pregnant already.
it takes at least four weeks for it to actually develope.
but either way, she should go see a doctor.
And don't take anymore risks!
The pill isnt always a 100 % accurate
Best of luck.

She needs to go back to the doctor and talk to him about this. Its normally not safe to have unprotected sex for the first one or two months....
Really really really need to see a doctor honey.
Sometimes the pill (there are many types)are not a good match for the body so it "rejects" the pill so to speak and you can end up "dripping. She needs to get this seen to as soon as possible.
Best of luck
