Which types of exercises will help me? Can I join a gym? I feel I need more motivation... Any help would be great :) Reply to this Question Share |

I'm in the same boat as you, same height and only a few pounds heavier. The best way to gain weight is to build muscle by doing slower lifting work outs and eat lots of healthy food full of proteins and vegetables. Peanuts are a good snack if you can eat them. As for specific exercises you really want to work your whole body with weights.

I'm thinking any excersies that builds your muscles... like weights, pull ups push ps, you dont want to exercise to lose weight so really body builds, and food wise you want to eat to gain doesn't mean your food can go to unhealthy, Spaghetti is good, is a greeat food and is high in carbs and fats etc.. and also healthy, you want calorie rich food as well as nutrients... try to eat about 5 times a day... a good sample of a meal is a turkey sandwich on whole-grain bread with mayonnaise and tomatoes and a fruit smoothie. good luck!
