We've been hanging out together and going on dates for months now and he still doesn't seem to want things to get more serious. I'm not quite sure what to do because I've always had guys scare me slightly with their eagerness to commit far too quickly. So in my current situation, should I bring up commitment? He's never had a girlfriend before which makes me wonder if maybe he's not quite sure how to go about it. Either that or he doesn't want a girlfriend and I'm wasting my time...

 You're never wasting your time if you are dating someone you like. Just go with the flow and have fun going on dates. Guys differ on how fast they like to move things which sucks because guys are the ones who initiate everything. I have a similar problem and hate not knowing what is going on. It gets to the point that I just ask the guy what he sees in me. Obviously there is potential but with him never having a girlfriend it seems as if he is scared of commitment. The best advice I can give you is just to ask him where he stands on going out.
