When we where younger we use to be pretty much best friends but when we went up to secondry school, I started to fancy him.But now its like we barely know eachother, we never talk (well rarely) its so sad. But I just can't talk to him myself, when ever I try I mumble and go red. Could you help me to try and hint that I like him without giving stuff to him! I'm so shy! like flirting tips maybe? nothing to silly please! hes a shy guy :) I'd be so gratefull thanks x

Get a close friend to ask him out for you or for them to hint you like him!
Thats what I would do...

Friends make the best partners...My current boyfriend and I actually dated when we were your age...We were best friends all throughout school, lost touch when we left school, got in touch 18 months ago, and have been together ever since!
The only way to stop agonising over whether he likes you or not is to take the plunge and ask him. If you can't do it face to face, write him a note. You don't have to sign it if you don't want to leave any evidence that others might see, just put your initial, or write something only he would know that you wrote it.

The best way to flirt if you're shy is with the eyes. Get his attention and hold his gaze for a little longer than you normally would.
That'll get him thinking.
But you're going to have to get over this fear of talking to him if you want to get somewhere! You used to be good friends, so what if you lost touch for a while? Invite him over to watch a dvd, "for old times sake", or something else that you both used to enjoy doing. Find your common ground, bring up interests you share, once you have something to talk about, you'll be fine!
