 I have the exact same problem! I'm terrified of being rejected. It's so confusing, however I find it easier to tell when a girl likes me than when a guy does. For example most of the time girls wont flirt with you unless they have a motive e.g. they are interested in going out with you. Guys on the other hand seem to flirt with everyone -.- I know it sounds silly but girls will actually fiddle with things or play with there hair when there with someone there interested in. I only figured this out the other week, haha when I caught my self doing it without realising! On the fearing asking people out side of things just think of it this way, if you don't ask her someone else will. Instead of saying yes to you she'll say it to that other guy. You should take a couple of chances.I hope this helped :)

Why don't you ask her directly? That way you can see if she likes you, and if she does then ask her out, and it's unlikely that she'll say no. Also, if she does say no then ask her not to spread it around,I'm sure she'll understand :)
