I'm 14 and I know that once I'm 18 or older my parents have promised me a nose job, but I just don’t know what to do, because I've never had a real boyfriend at all, and I have a good personality and my looks besides that are good.I feel like its the reason that guys don't like me. I've noticed that the girls and guys that I think are attractive have noses with dips in them, and the people that I think are unattractive have noses like me, with a big bump and a hook. I was just wondering if there is anything I can do about this, it's really getting me down. Like any hairstyles or anything that tone it down until I get a nose job? Thanks so much. xoxo B

I didn't get a boyfriend until I was 16, but he was wonderful and thought I was beautiful, then others saw it too. I never got over my self-consciousness and bought myself a nosejob when I graduated college. You'll make it through. Its a good idea to wait til you are full grown and sure that it is what you want. I am glad not to hear the "wow you have a big nose" comments anymore, but I know a lot of people who thought I was more beautiful with my natural face. Make sure its what you want and if it is then 4 years isn't really very far away in the long run. Good luck sweetie

Hi Hunny
When doing corrective makeup, especially on your nose, always use a subtlte touch when highlighting and shading, as you don't want the shading to be too dark or it will be too obvious.
For shading you have two options - depending on the type of foundation you are using.
Cream foundations: use a shade or two darker in a creamy foundation or concealer, and apply as part of your bass makeup, this method is easy to blend into your foundation finger tips or a sponge. When using cream foundation as corrective makeup, complete all corrections before you powder.
If you are using powder or liquid foundation, or have powdered your cream base, you can use blush as your contouring tool. To apply, sweep color with a contoured cheek brush. Ihave a flat inch brush that works wonders for shading, Blend edges softly to give a natural shading effect.
Sculpting your nose into a slightly smaller version requires contouring down the sides of your nose. Its the same if you have a larger chin line shading just under the top of the jaw both sides gives the impression of a smaller more svelt neck line.. If your nose is narrow at the top and with wider nostrils, sweep color around nostrils and on tip. And if your nose is long, just a touch of contour around the tip.
If you are used to wearing makeup everyday, you may want to balance contouring your nose by contouring your jaw or under your cheek bones to really enhance the shape of your face.
Highlighting along the bridge of your nose, from the top of your nose out in a triangle to your temples - where the light hits your face naturally.
Work with your bone structure, creating shadows, contouring and de-emphasizing with a shade or two darker than your foundation; while highlighting will bring out your best assets. By interweaving the play of light on your face, you will learn to develop your own distinctive beauty look :)
Work with your hairdresser to make sure your hairstyle is enhancing the natural architecture of your facial features. Now dont think Im all clever I got most of that advise from a link but if it helps then its good...I would also say concentrate on the eyes and make them stand out with liner and not to dark shadow I use a pretty golden shadow it looks lovely with black eyeliner...But most importantly always remember you are beautiful no matter what and tell yourself everyday, TAKE CARE SWEETHEART WITH LOVE MANDY XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
