What i want to know is if you have unprotected sex on that week off do you have the same chance of getting pregnant as you do while taking the pill, or does it not work at all?

Pills are designed to protect you on your week off so you cannot fall pregnant. I have been doing this for years and have been completely safe, as this is what my doctor informed me. Trust me, unless you pill isnt working properly, you will be fine on the 7/8 day gap in between.

yes! it is possible for you to get pregnant in the week that you dont take the pill so be extra careful, use other means of protection. Also in the first 2 weeks of taking the pill you are advised strongly to use other protection (even though you should be using it anyway!). Just be careful!!

(if you're still worried, just call up your doctor or see if the answer is in the info booklet/sheet that should have been in with your prescription.) as long as you've been taking the pill at the same time everyday, then there should be no problems (well, just keep in mind that the pill is only 98% effective.)

Its possible for you to get pregnant while your not on the pill you really should think about using condoms because not only can you get pregnant but you get a sexually transmitted disease and you do not want to get something that you may not be able to get rid of do not have sex unprotected with out telling that person that your having sex with to gt an HIV test.

Menstration occurs after the unfertilized egg is absorbed into the uterus lining, and the uterus begins to shed. Aka your period. This signals the end of the cycle, and then the whole beautiful bloody process starts over again. So, if you are bleeding your risk of pregnancy is very low. Remember nothing is a 100% except not having sex, but it's very unlikely. Just make sure your man is okay surfing the crimson tide and it should all be good :)

If i am correct, then you can have sex on your period but its best too use protection as it might be messy for the male. The week you start taking the pill again after your period you can have sex without protection, but if you're unsure and worried use protection all the time!
