 If you like this boy then the best thing to do is befriend him, be his friend and let things develop naturally. Sometimes well meaning friends can embarrass you even more when he's around by dropping hints to him or shouting and teasing you when he's closeby so it might be best to keep how you feel about him to yourself if you don't want this happening.
Smile at him when he passes by, ask him the time or for directions. If he likes you too then you'll probably see him smile and look at you too. Just be yourself, be friendly and cheerful and if he's keen then it won't be long before you're both chatting. Let us know how things go okay?
