As long as you take your pill at roughly the same time each day then you are covered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The pill works by stopping the ovaries releasing an egg so there is nothing for the sperm to fertilise. Now the body only releases 1 egg each month so for the other days you are taking the pill it is just basically to maintain the levels of hormones in the body and to make sure an egg doesnt randomly get released when the levels of hormones drop (as in if you missed a pill the levels of hormones in your body would drop).
So if you have been taking your pill as you should for the last 3 months then there is very little chance you could be pregnant. You dont have to wait until after you have taken the pill to have sex - you can have sex all day if you really wanted and it wouldnt make a difference! That one pill covers you for 24 hours and the pill you have taken the day before will still be effective until the time comes for you to take your next one (hence why you are supposed to take the pill at the same time each day).
Try not to worry so much, as long as you are taking the pill correctly then you are covered completely! You can have sex before you take your pill, after you take your pill....there is no "waiting" period after you take it for it to kick in, it is more like you are just topping up your protection from the day before!
I hope this helps!

The pill as in a regular birth control pill that you take daily, right? Yes, of course you should be fine. If you've been consistently taking it for the past 3 months, then it doens't matter how soon you take it before or after sex...I'm also thinking you should consult your doctor who prescribed you the pills for further explanation of anything judging by your question. Just to be safe, it also doesn't protect against STDs.

If you've been taking it regularly for 3 months, you're as safe as you can be.
