If you're a rugby player you're already an athletic guy of a certain size and fitness. Join a local gym, keep up with your workouts and see what develops with the women who also go there.

its hard when you are the baby of the work place and all the others are years older than you, but you might get the odd night out with them. i would think you could make friends with the lads at rugby once they get to know you, join any other clubs in the area or take a course so you can meet like minded people, try dating sites, i have heard of a friendship site called meet up where you join and get to meet up with people in your area and go on trips, do hobbies together and stuff. you can still go to your hometown and have some social time with your friends and they could maybe come and stay with you sometimes. probably a pretty short train journey
