I never talked to him at first as i was too shy to do so, but recently i've began to talk to him - I tend to stare at him quite alot too. The thing is, i don't know what he thinks of me! He's slightly shy, and when i said "Hiya" to him during lunch break today, whilst standing with my friends, he smiled nervously and said "Hi". I'm not sure if this is an indication that he's either nervous around me or is uncomfortable having the knowledge that i really like him. I think i'm making it obvious by talking and staring at him often. I just don't know what to do, he's shy but if i talk to him he can get a bit chatty and he does make me laugh quite alot! I can't summarise this into 1 question but can you advise me on what to do? thanks :) x

Well, men usually get nervous around girls -- even more so around a girl they like...and they get even more nervous when that girl is with their friends.
Men don't usually get nervous or feel uncomfortable around a girl that they know fancies them and they're just their normal selves usually -- though men are as bad as women sometimes and when the girl thinks she's making it obvious that man can still be completely oblivious!
Well you don't want go too far too fast...so why don't you ask him if he wants to go and get some food at dinner or something and build from there?
If he makes you laugh a lot then must at least like you in some capacity.
Good luck
