For health reasons, I do not want to use anything hormonal. Would a contraceptive sponge or diaphragm be our best bet? I'm sure many here are more experienced with this stuff than I am. Also, would it be beneficial for him to pull out, along with whatever method we end up choosing? Any advice will be appreciated. I will, of course, see a doctor at some point. I'm just gathering information at this point. Thanks!

You could try the IUD. However, some doctors won't put it in unless you've had a baby. Just check with your doctor.
Nuvaring could be another option.
Good luck.

Put birth control into google or wikipedia. There are lots and lots of websites with comparisons out there.
You may want to try the coil.
That is none hormonal, very effective, and won't affect your sex life unless your husband is rather large in which case he MIGHT just be able to feel something.
Good Luck!! xx
