I tend to be a bit of a health and hygiene freak in general and that's the irony of this situation.Basically when I was younger I'd bathe all the time and everything was cool, but about 5 or 6 years ago we got a cool new shower installed and the old bathroom was turned into a storage room, so there was no bath... and I believe that's when my problem started. With just the shower, I guess things went downhill a bit.Suffice to say, my foreskin hasn't been retracted properly for quite a while. As I was quite young at the time I didn't pay much attention to anything but it's slowly bugged me more and more and it's a growing fear that obviously it's not a good thing.I'm hoping there's something I can do to help clean myself up a bit and get the foreskin retracting properly again.I'm also hoping that there's something other than circumcision to help rectify my problem. Obviously having a shower instead of a bath is a bit downer, but I hope someone can offer me some advice. After searching for some free medical advice sites I was shocked and a bit disgusted to find that they all offered answers to medical questions for a fee. Well, typical I guess. Thanks for any help you can offer and sorry for the essay.

Ive done my own little bit of reserch for you on the net and I found this web site that might help you. This could provide you with some ideas you and your doctor could talk about and maybe give a try. This product has a cost not sure how much though, but anyway give it a read and see if there is anything that can help. Alot of doctors will resort to circumcision as they see it as the easy way out.. when I took my son that was the first thing the doctor said so I got a second opinion if your doctor is not willing to talk to you about other options you might want to see another one. http://www.glansie.com/

I checked the link you provided Dr.John and my situation doesn't appear to be as severe. When fully erect I can see the head of my penis, it's not completely sealed over or anything. It does retract a bit, but not fully. I also haven't had any pain or cuts or anything via masturbation. It just doesn't retract far.
Oh and lilly_08, thanks a lot for the suggestion and I will try it, but could you possibly provide me with the name of the cream?
As for the penis in the sink idea, I could try it but it might be a bit awkward, but it's an idea, thanks :)

My son had this problem I took him to the doctors and they gave me a cream that I had to apply 3 times a day this has worked a treat my nefew had this problem to so I gave the cream to my sister she did the same thing and the problem was solved my suggestion would be see your doctor ask about some things you can try and make it clear that circumcision is not an option for you at this point and you only want to use that as the last resort..
hope this helps a little and good luck :)

Unfortunately when a mechanical problem comes up such as this I believe the only course of action here is circumcision.
However, I am not a medical doctor and that is who you should see in this case.
Phimosis is what this sounds to be and I have done some research to find a link for you to give you more information on the subject. I hope it helps. Doc
