birdynumnums agony auntIf your first meeting has gone that well with his Mum, I'd say you have nothing to worry about! His Mum and sister both want to see that you appreciate him. You can remark on his good manners (Mums like that) and how kind and well brought up he is. Chocolates or flowers are a nice touch. Don't dress too over the top, something conservative and not too much skin, not too much make-up either. Most people like to talk about themselves, so just ask them questions whenever you can and find out what their interests are. Shared interests will come in handy if you are all going to be living under the same roof. Frankly, if you are this thoughtful and concerned about meeting your boyfriends family, I think you sound like a lovely well-mannered girl and I don't think you have a thing to worry about. They will probably see what your boyfriend sees in you and love you too! Good Luck!

TasteofIndia agony auntHey there,

Can you boyfriend tell them ahead of time that you're a little shy and that you don't talk much? If he just tells them, then they won't think you're being rude. They'll know that you're not much of a talker. If you're looking to impress them, you could bring a little gift for the house... maybe a bouqet of flowers to brighten the place up. Just stand tall, smile and be yourself.

Good luck, sweetness! I'm sure you'll be fine and they'll love you.
