writes:Hi im 23 years old and unfortunately still a virgin ive never had a girlfriend and barely have any experience. Its especially embarrassing because on paper I mean there is no reason why I shouldn’t of had a girlfriend…I mean people say funny, kind-hearted, good looking and as of recently I hit the gym up and got into in amazing shape and am a straight A student. On the other hand I have always been shy, socially awkward, lacked confidence and was unable to pick on signals from the opposite sex. I don’t know, whenever I try to approach women in clubs or bars I just come off as ridiculous (the social awkwardness really shows) and outside of the bar and club scene again im either to shy and/or socially awkward. Im really embarrassed about it and am worried that when I eventually do get into a relationship that she will view me as some kind of loser because of my situation. Is it a big deal to be in my situation and is their anything that I can possibly do to change it? Thanks

My friends sometimes tease me about being a virgin, never having a girlfriend, and being just plain shy. I admit, I could never ask a girl out. I just can't do it.

 I don't think you have any reason to worry. If you are what you say you are, smart, cute, funny, etc. then someone will see that and like you for it. You sound like the kind of guy that girls wish they had. Being a virgin isn't a bad thing.

ur just really shy guy. dnt wry u will eventually meet somebody, trust me :) sometimes i feel like giving up too lol. most guys just play about.. so a girl wud be lucky to have a guy like you! =) ur just not meeting the right person yet.. try to be calm and just chat naturally then ask for her number.. and just because your a virgin, it doesn't matter..there is no rush at all and any girl you meet that thinks ur a loser because of that is not worth going out with anyways, she should respect you for who you are and you have decided to wait until the right person has come along. most guys regret losing their virginity on a one night stand so go you :) you have something special
