I recently put a dating ad in my local newspaper becasue i'm bored of being single but also becasue I put myself under a lot of pressure to find a girl because I've been single for over 5 years now. I'm 29 and fed up of trying to meet girls on nights out now, probably because I was never good at it. I also never meet any girls through my friends because they are even shyer than I am around girls. So i've resorted to putting in an advert and have met this really nice girls who is just 21. Because we get on really well I am starting to think about having to tell friends and family about how we met. However i am really embarrassed and so am thinking of lying about how we met because i'm worried that my friends and family will think i'm desperate. i know I'm being really immature about this, but in terms of meeting girls I suppose thats because I am. Has anyone got any advise on how I should handle this situation? Keith x

Nothing wrong in wanting to meet someone, and who really cares how you did, where did you have your first date, over a coffee or in a pub? they would be beleivable enough as to where you met, so that's an idea, but if this works out for you, then it wont matter how you met, you wont care... good luck.

Its good to see this service being used for the right reasons,as i have heard cases of unavailable people using it to simply find sex whilst posing as someone seeking a proper relationship.
