My boyfriend and I have been going out for a while and him along with my brother and his girlfriend wanted to go there this summer, because my boyfriend and I have our anniversary in august and my bro's bday is in august too, so it would be perfect. It was all my idea because I completely fell in love with france when I was younger. But now because of the economy in the US(WHERE I LIVE), my job has severely butchered everyone's hours including mines so I honestly dotn think I can afford to go anymore. If we did go we wouldn't have to worry about paying for a hotel I have family in France... according to my research a round trip will cost around 1,300 per person! Is this right? If so any suggestions on what to do or where else we could go, even though I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, WANNA GO TO FRANCE?Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks everyone : )

And I was referring to american dollar currency. When I go there I don't really need to spend money on a tour guide since my bf and my bro's girlfriend have been there before, the last time I went my uncle, took us everywhere : )... I'm actually not sure exactly where I want to land but any estimate would help. I am gonna check out that cheap ticket website.. Thanks! I always buy my tickets way ahead in advance when I'm traveling, but I can't afford to this year because my school bill killed my savings! : (
But thanks for your advice guys! You're the greatest!

happy new years to you too!
well, frstly i would suggets the obvious, SAV MONEY. like SERIOUSLY SAV. cut your outtings, and like stuf u really dnt need, lie those new boots fom zara you know?
second, try looking up in the internet for european travel agencies. (Halcon Viajes is a good Spanish one) and look for the packets. they give you really cheap ticets and promotions and stuff. also, buy your ticet NOW, cause when the summer approches itll be moe xpensive. try www.cheapflights.com. and if you alrady can save the hotel money that is great! less to worry about, if not you guys can alsways stay at youth hostels. they cost like 40 euros per week (the one i wnet was like that) which is very cheap if you come to think about it, but it iant no five stars hotel..
thats all i can think of for now.. oh! and try a summer job if you can too. but thats like xtra.
GOOD LUCK!
