I'm pretty sure they're related problems, whther being ill for a long time made me unhappy or that i've been depressed and it's making me ill, which is more likely. I was ill yesterday and had to leave college, but I was feeling so rough that I was crying and a woman from student services (like councellor type person)came and talked to me. She said she was walking by and saw that I was upset, but I think someone called her. She somehow managed to get me talking for 40 minutes about everything that was getting me down, and now I feel really horrible, like I'm a weak person because someone else thinks that I need help. I just want my doctor to give me something to make me feel better and be done with it, but now the college knows that I'm ill or depressed or whatever, I can't stand it because there are people with problems just as bad as mine and they're just getting on with it, whereas I'm ill because of it and it makes me angry.

Well .. you don't know that someone saw you and called her and if they did they did it out of concern for you. Try to put aside thoughts about other people's problems and about being "weak" - if you are ill then it needs to be tackled. I don't know what to offer but please don't let things get on top of you, can you speak to the counsellor again? your doctor? Lots of students get ill or have problems so it's not a big deal to the college, in fact they should be geared up to help you.
