writes:hey.I've seen this site gives good advice so i am gunna try it for myself =]Basically i am 15. Into guys like crazy. Totally normal at this age i think. Yet i get depressed as i don't know many. I know this is probably a very frequantly asked question but saying "join clubs" doesnt help. I go to an all girls school in london. I am sort of shy for about 5 or 10 minutes but then i am pretty relaxed around them. Although i put myself down a lot, thinking that they wouldn't like me and that there are plenty of pretty amazing girls out there so i get depressed and feel like i am tiny compared. What should i do about everything i have said? Please answer,i know its an annoying question, but it would really help me! thanks people xxx

 i think that is a problem with alot of girls..now my ex gf is like that and she is the most beautiful girl in the world..i think to get over this u need to start going out with sum friends and maby they will know sum guys that they just met..u should go out with ur friends and the guys,and during the day as u hang out u will get used to the guys,they will be talking to u,and u will know when a guy is trying to tell u that u r pretty or that he thinks u r a really nice girl..just dont let it get to u that much because it isnt gud that u r..trust me u will meet a guy that will sweep u off ur feet..plz dont let it get to you too much..xx

 You sort of answered your own question. Putting yourself down. Let me ask you something. If I saw you and told you that you were a very attractive girl, and you told yourself multiple times a day that you weren't, who would you believe? We tend to believe what we tell ourselves over what anyone else tells us. It's just the way our mind works. What we tell ourselves can be a huge lie, but as long as we're saying it, our brain picks it up as being truth.
You need to start building your self confidence, as you do that, you'll find just that one action will start attracting more people to you. It's funny how people want to be friends with those who have a strong sense of self.
