I'm afraid the result will be exactly what I don't want it to be

The first and last time I had unprotected sex was in December 2008. Actually, that's the last time I had sex, period. Since then, I've had all my periods (though each is seems to come one week earlier than the last) and they've been getting slightly lighter but a little longer. Honestly, the only noticable changes in and of my body are the facts that I've been eating a lot more than I ever did these past few months and the area near my bladder has been expanding. I can not remember if my ex came inside me or not. I haven't even taken a pregnancy test in fear that the result will be exactly what I DON'T want it to be. Could I be pregnant?

meg2989 agony auntWell you could be pregnant and you could not be. Though it is a bit rare, there are women that happen to menstrate all through there pregnancy. I had a friend who had her period the whole time and found out she was pregnant at five or six months, all because she had her period so she figured she wasnt pregnant. However, sometimes if you are worried that youre pregnant your mind tricks your body into thinking it is which could explain ur eating habits and why youre belly's getting bigger. I know youre scared, but either way you need to take a pregnancy test to figure out if you are pregnant or not. Good luck! Best wishes to you sweetie

ok the fact is that yes you could be pregnant. However if you have had a regular monthly period and the only changes you've noticed are eating more and bigger tummy i have my doubts as to whether you are. if you eat more you put on weight if your stressed some people comfort eat that explains that. if you got pregnant in december you would have a large bump by now trust me im six months pregnant myself. also you will have felt movements the baby kicking and turning. have you had any fatigue? sickness? cravings? dizziness? have you noticed changes in you hair skin and nails? do you wake up needing to run to the loo coz there pressure on your bladder? the only way to be sure is to do a test but to be honest i think if you were pregnant your body would have given you a hell of a lot more signs than what you describe. hope this helps

THIS IS CRAZY. I wish i could make a huge sign for everyone in the world that says

SEX=PREGNANCY.

Yes, of course you could be pregnant. And now that you've done something thats consequences you were not ready for, you have to just face it. You need to know immediately if you are pregnant. As soon as possible. Because once your pregnant, it's not about you.. it's about that child. If there is one in there, you need to be taking vitamins, changing your diet, cutting out certain harmful things, and getting prenatal care to ensure it's health. Just take the test. Waiting to take it won't make it disappear. And if you're not, then wouldn't you like to know that too instead of sitting around fearing that you are?
