It weird because i am a sort of a punk kid and have no problem yelling exactly what i think in the middle of downtown or at a show or when i am with my friends. but at school or when i am around a girl i might like, i suddenly become silent. I dont mean too, but i think this has people thinking i am always angry or am stuck up. It makes me feel bad about myself. I have heard the old saying "be yourself" and i do try. Everything i say is sincerely "myself". I just feel like i don't know what to say. Is there any way to get over this shyness?

hiyah its common for even cocky guys to change into this different person as soon as a girl comes along. they come out of ther comfort zone of being in control and knowing what to say at the right time etc the only way to get over this is when you get to know a girl tell her this! its hard for you to be yourself and show who you really are she might respect you more for telling her and help you deal with it, honesty is the best way (cheesey as it sounds) and you will come out of your shell eventualy and once youve crossed it once you get over it and it doesnt happen again, its just getting there!
best of luck (no i havent advised you on actual problem ) sorry :) x
