I'm older than you (I'm 22) and you're taller than me but otherwise I have exactly the same problem. I even had a goatee when I was 16 too (still do). I could grow a full beard at 16 too, it was extremely weird. Once, when I was at the store with my mother, a random stranger thought we were husband and wife. Now that I am 22 I look like I'm 35, which makes women my own age think of me as some kind of creep for wanting to date women in their early 20s. It's horrible man, I hope everything's gotten better for you.

Be thankful that you are not looking 12 like some guys do at this age.Shaving off your go tee would make you appear younger, and not so scruffy, which to me is aging.People do not change as much as far as aging goes in their 20s and thirties, it starts to accelerate again in your 40's.....can't fight mother nature I am afraid without drastic measures like surgery.....

And no, it doesn't mean that you will always look older. You may just be more physically developed than your peers, which is quite normal at this age. Teenagers have a vast range of physical development some are really late bloomers like I was.
The only concern I have for you is that older guys will approach you and they won't be appropriate for you to date because of the age gap. So be concsious of how you present yourself.

Oops, not having my glasses on at the particular time I didn't even really notice the gender information. Since most of the people I know that have this anxiety are girls, I assumed you are one too. I feel so embarassed. I'm so sorry, lol. A lot of what I said in my post have to do with your question, though. Sorry again. ;)

Hey. First of all, I know a lot of girls who look younger than their age and don't feel that well about it, so you're not alone. The best thing is to always look your age if not a little younger once you grow up, but that's not the matter now. What do you think makes you look older than your age? Do you think that it's maybe the way you style your hair, the make up you put on you or anything related? My cousin is the same age as you and as she is obsessed with always applying make up on her face, she ends up looking at least 5 years older everytime she does. Also, there are indeed hairstyles that make you look older. It however depends on your features most of the time. Also, did someone tell you that you look 25 years old or did you make that comment about yourself after being influenced by other's comments? I can tell you one thing; People around the age of 15-20 rarely look exactly their age. When I was 15, I looked more like 13 or 12, and at 18 others thought I was 20+ and others that I was even younger than 18. So opinions on that matter varry from person to person.Don't let it bother you too much, and remember that you're definitely not alone in this. Most teenage girls like to look older than they actually are sometimes, and they even try to get to it, but feeling your age and not trying to look younger or older is the best thing you can do. Also, don't worry about looking 40 when you're 30, teenage years are the years where this 'age confusion' occurs at the most.

do u have to be worrying about this? age and looks are matters of initial attraction. basic need is you to have a young mind. YES, age happens to mind. if your mind is old ... u r really old. compare with other answers that you get.
