Everyone starts at different ages, but you should go to the doctor if you want answers. He is probably a more reliable source than the people here. I know it will feel embarassing but that is one of your doctors jobs.

A male reader, mattharmon17 United Kingdom +, writes (25 June 2007):

dont worry you will get there eventually, some people start later then others. i mean i started at about 13 which is easly, but my mate is 17 and he has just started. if you are really worried you can talk to your GP or a walk in centre. not to panic you, but some things such as diabetis or a hormone deficiency can delay puberty, but this is rare. speak to your doctor

Don't worry about it. It will happen. Just look at it as something that you have no way of controlling so there is no point in worrying over it.

I was an early guy myself. and that was just as weird.

Enzian agony auntHi there

I was late as well - everone is different, you should not comparing yourself too much to others and don't listen about their jokes.

As I am female, I don't know what is normal for boys. I believe you are not too late. But why don't you ask your doctor? He will know and have a closer look to you and tell you what allready changed at your body. You may changed a lot, but didn't realise yourself that this is already due to puperty. My brothers voice didn't change much, but it's not a boys voice anymore. Also they don't have much beard growth but they just think they are luck not have to shave every day ;-)

So don't worry too much. Try to acceppt yourself as you are and try to see the positiv points of it and look at your benefits!

kenny agony auntLike Kay Kay says everyone hits puberty a differnt rates. You are still only 16 you still have plenty of time to hit puberty fully. Don't stress over it to much, you will wake up one morning and out of the blue you will be there, trust me i was your age once.

Good luck
