writes: Right..at the minute im at school..i dont really no what to put..i have just started year 11. im 15. my problem is, i dont think i have many good friends..i walk around school at break and dinner on my own, that makes me seem like the loner loserish type, but thats the thing, im quite popular, but people just dont see my real side, they dont understand that i love eminem, im writing to him, a scrapbook of my life, really really meaningful words come into my mind when i write to him, wen i have a problem i write to him and add up all the letters..i mite send it one day, i mite not..all i want to do is move to america and get signed by shady records as the next big thing, anyone reading this, if u cud understand the pressure im usin on the keyboard, the tear that rolls down my cheek wen i think about this at night, it really gets me down, i have epilepsy, maybe this causes all of the down moments, but im a really hyper active girl, i like to have a laugh, i drink, now i smoke weed aswell so this may be the cause, but im willing to give up cigs and weed for my singin career, soon im starting singin lessons..by the way i am actually a good singer..powerful for my age..people are amazed when they hear me,,i dont wanna sound boastful but i jus wanna give the reader a piece of where im coming from. i have the abilty to furfuill wyhatever i want..its jus hard :(..i relli dont no what to think anymore..just please tell me something thats goin to make me think..gosh i need to do something..cuz ryt now im wondering what im doing with my life..give me a answer with some sort of hope pleasee!!..my dream is to sing in america GOD!..its so unfair..:(..get back as soon as .. thanks xx Reply to this Question

not just to the singers out there
but to everyone young person that's got a dream!
You are a very determined young maddam and there's nothing wrong with that! You gotta suck it up, stay focused and plan what routes your gonna take. Start putting lyrics and music together , make a music myspace, record yourself, get as much experience as possible because lifes too short to regret! And theres nothing wrong with eminem people just dont get the way he expresses himself, the lyrics he uses people find offensive but the fans understand. I think he's an incredible artist , he's not perfect but what the hell no one is! Hes got talent and thats what counts. Poeple can be able to sing like an angel but you've got to have one thing carisma and thats what hes got. Looking the part with the a good attitude is just as important as im sure you know, its all a package. Aslogn you've got some mates to relay on you're okay, who cares about the others? There loss right babes! So you get planning , get focused and in the future they'll be kicking themselves thinking why didnt I see that talent in her?

reader, anonymous, writes (23 October 2007): Hi, i was just reading evrything you wrote there and it was apsoloutly amazing because you sound exactly like me i have epilepsy, i love singing, i smoke , well not weed you should really stop that but yet i cant say anything i drink while having epilepsy god i wish i could stop .. just basically everything you said reminded me, of me, and i know how it feels to walk around, and you just want everyone to see the real side of you, how amazing you really are, well i meen i have allot of freinds that know that but you just wish sometimes .. wel for some reason the popular ones .. well me i'd just die to sing on stage 1 more time,just to get that thrill of all them ppl cheering god it was brilliant, n i hope you get were you want to be, and by the sound of it you have allot of determination, you just wait when you meet eminem and your on telly singing no more sitting there cryin, coz u'll have evrything.

 It's not as though if you come to America you are going to be Famous. There are millions of unsigned artists in this country. Why Eminem? He's not really a good role model and his sucess is one in a hundred million or more. I'm not judging you for liking Eminem, but writing to him isn't going to help you suceed. Join a choir in your school or church, get vocal lessons, quit smoking weed and ciggs and drinking (if you drink) 15 is a really hard age. I'm afraid there's nothing we can say to help that hard fact. Life does get a lot better after high school.

DO SOMETHIN BWT IT LIKE WAIT FOR THE NXT POP-IDOL OR X-FACTOR OR START GETTIN INTO THE SCHOOL PLAYS ND SING SOLOS THEN THE WORD SHUD SPREAD RWND THAT UR A GD SINGER ND THEN GO TO PROPER SINGIN SCHOOLS OR SUMAT THEN U SHUD MAKE IT UP TO UR CAREER!!! wen ya a bit older maybe get a well paid job and move to america nd try and build up a singin career ova there!!!!! if where u live is like wer i live then word shud spread rwnd especially if ur popular!!!!gd luckhope my advice helps!!!!

 Everyone should have a dream and strive to achieve it. Just dont let it control your life.(Is your epilepsy controlled? Do you have someone to talk to about seizures? You should. You will be suprised how much they can help). Be a singer and give others a voice through your lyrics as they are from the heart, so others will feel them too. Perhaps use your talent to write also. I remember being at school and feeling lost with what i could do when i left, all i ever wanted to do was sport, so i did. Is there a drama class at school? Can you join that...showcase your talent. Perhaps even a drama class outside school, even the best people start there. I worked for Granada a few years back and nearly all had schooling at stage school including singers. You will find more friends by meeting people with similar interests. Your life should be exciting now with all that the future holds for you.QUIT your smoking though it makes you paranoid and forgetful,depressed, plus some people wont associate with you because of it, they'll see you as a stone head, not the talented spirited person that you are. You should change your outlook hun, like yourself a bit more and others will too. Go on and show everyone what your made of you only have one life...enjoy it and dont worry so much about what others think, its what you feel inside that counts.x

reader, anonymous, writes (5 September 2007): You should not be drinking and smoking anything at your age and with your condition. Most of the people have dreams about becoming something big. So what if your friends don't support you? There are a lot of succesful and famous people who made it big without no one believing in them. I don't think that your smoking and crying will help your situation. You are just telling the world that you are an extremely sensible person who becomes affected by everything around and that's not a very good start for a famous singer. Famous people are constantly being pressured and sometimes falsely acussed of things on the media and they have to put up with that. If you are going to cry about it maybe you are not ready for it just yet. Let's face it, you are still in school. In order to come to America I think you should have to finish school first and get a job so you could save money to come to America. It's not happening any sooner so Why don't you get prepared and take control over your life and just be happy about the future that awaits you when you graduate from school? Enjoy the friends that you have now and think that maybe if you hit it big one day they will regret not paying much attention to your singing when they could. You should save your letters because those could become great song lyrics in the future. By the way, I hope you become a more respectful singer than Eminen because I personaly don't like him.

 If you are smoking every day, it's a really bad idea. I grew up in the 60's/70's. All of the people that I knew that were stoners never really amounted to anything. It kind of saps your ambition. It sounds like you need some direction. You love to sing and say that you really want to pursue it. Find a vocal coach and train your voice. It will put you in touch with other people who love singing and you'll probably meet a few more people who have similar outlooks on life, so it may help with your social life too.

 Dont smoke weed! it stuffs you life up. I have had friends who were into weed and they lost all drive. You have drive. Keep following your dreams! If you want to sing to America do it, and dont let people tell you otherwise. But also have a back up plan...stay in school and get some qualifications.
