I would really like to talk to her and get to know her, but I dont know how. With winter coming, I doubt I will really get to see her. And my dog is a bit protective and sometimes barks at new people so that wouldnt be a great way to first talk to someone. Really I dont care about a relationship or anything, it would just be nice to have a friend my age around here I could hang out with. I was just wondering whats an easy way to approach her and talk to her? And if I dont see her around here at all, is there anything else I could do? Reply to this Question

Its good that you are open to making friends. Female friends are a great thing, they will let you in on how women think better than a guy (duh).
One thing I think makes sense for a guy looking to meet a woman is to be clear about your intentions regardless of what the outcome may be. It can go 3 ways in my experience...
1-She doesn't like you (don't even dwell on it for a second just keep moving on and don't be an a-hole about it). Getting the right chemistry with EVERY woman is something that cant be bottled and sold. Remember that goes both ways too. Learn what to avoid in women just as the good ones do with men.
2-She doesn't like you "that way" (has a boyfriend or whatever). Fine, she may become a female friend and you may get to meet one of her female friends out of it.
3-She smiles and is fun and conversational. This is when you initiate meeting for a date or something less formal if that kind of label works in the situation.
This is in no way a system and I do not have any books written on my wondrous success with women. There may be a more refined method and I can guarantee that there are plenty of guys out there with a whole lot more experience than me.
What ever you do I can just say that the real you will probably be a better approach than trying to be somebody you are not.
