writes:me and my boyfriend have been trying to conceive for over a year and were unsuccessful, however we split up for a couple days due to stress. In the break i found comfort in another man. I only had sex with the other guy once and we usedd a condom, I am now pregnant however i worry it could be his even though i had sex with my boyfriend quite a few times without a condom. Please give me your thoughts,i dont think i can go through with this pregnancy if theres a chancve its the other mans

If you only broke up with your boyfriend a couple of days ago and has sex with the other guy after, there's no way you would have been able to spot the pregnancy that early on if it was not your boyfriends -- and especially if you used a condom.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 August 2010): im going through the same thing myself i sctually posted a similar topic! i agree that the chances are slim...but still if a condom is used right its 99.9 percent effective form of birth control....but that also is not in every case..... i think you will be alright, unknowing causes fear dont let that overwhelm you

reader, anonymous, writes (1 August 2010): the only way to be sure is a dna test which in the states you can purchase at the local drug store and have shipped off. they generally run about 50 bucks. but you cannot do that until the child is born without an amniocentesis where they draw fluid from around the baby while in utero. That can be quite expensive. The other way would be to sit down with a calendar and work out the dates. sperm only lives about 72 hours and go from the dates you had sex and the time you believe you started to ovulate. To be honest though, i believe the odds of the condom dad are very slim. Hope some of this helps.
