So i wonder what does he mean by close relationship? I mean we are friends and he likes another girl. I already plan on trying to forget about him since he likes another girl and i know her.  This is a guy without the courage to ask girls out on dates. He hopes that by getting close to them they will see all his good qualities and want to be with him. While that may happen, unless he finds the courage to speak up, he'll be doomed to be alone.
What does he mean by a close relationship?
Good friends, good communication, doing things together...
Right now his sights are set on someone else. If you want to be friends with him, he'd be more than willing, but I don't think his heart is open to anyone but this other girl right now.
