It was awful, even my boyfriend was surprised (he is more experienced than me, but bygones are bygones) at my reaction. Now I'm a little afraid. Will it hurt as much next time, too? I couldn't feel any pleasure because I was too overwhelmed by that initial pain. It took everything else away. Reply to this Question Share |

My first time was uncomfortable, but not painful -- I had broken my hymen on a unicycle years before (I think) so there wasn't any cherry to "pop." My sister, on the other hand, had a really painful experience her first time, and it was painful for a while after that. Sometimes the hymen doesn't fully break (as happened with her). She had to get a doctor to remove it, then she was able to go on and enjoy sex.
Try it a couple more times, maybe using some artificial lubricant (KY Warming is good, and you can get it at the grocery store -- well, here in the US anyway). If you weren't "ready" (wet) enough, that could be why it was painful, so try adding some wetness.
If the pain doesn't go away, make an appointment with a doctor.

For me the first time was very painful and each subsequent time was a little less painful untill it became all pleasure. I think it took me about 1/2 dozen times until I experienced no pain at all.

Hey huni losing your virginity is quite an experience and different for every1 the 1st time i had sex it barely hurt at all and it didnt last very long and i thought ha that wasnt so bad and thn the 2nd time i did it well it was loads worst than the 1st lol i didnt understand it at all. But i can understand why it hurts more people the 1st time one is the obvious that the vagina hasnt been stretched at much as that before and the other is that most people are very nervous the 1st time they have sex wich mean everything down there tightens up more almost like you dont want something to entre lol the more relaxed you are the better it is and the more you have it the more youll feel comfortable with it just make sure your well lubricated down there with pleanty of foreplay before you even try puttin anything in and itll b alot easier and alot less painfull. Good luck let me no how things go :)

Everyone has different pain thresholds and what barely hurts for one person can be chronic for someone else. Until you get used to sex it will quite likely be a bit painful but it will get easier and is a good excuse to practise. Remember to always practise safe sex!
