writes: Its my girlfriends birthday this weekend and im having her over saturday but sunday her family is taking her out to eat and i wasnt invited maybe because her brother doesnt like me that much im just not sure i feel hut because her and her family have been invited to every christmas thanksgiving and she has been brought to every event in my family the one time they go out im not invited i told my girlfriend that it really hurts my feelings and she just says theres nothing she can do? I was hoping for her to atleast ask them if they could invite me? What should i do

Her family may just want this time to themselves.
There won't be any other non-family attending, so I doubt it's personal/just geared to leave you out.
Other people just may not have the same open-house mentality that you and your family have. I think you should respect that.
