I want to move out and I'm very responsible at 17, any advice about how to find a good place to rent?

I will be Seventeen years old this coming May. I have a stable good paying job.Over $5,000 saved.My liscense and a car.I got my GED about a month ago and next fall I wanted to go to college.My Good friend and I really would like to rent a house together.He will be Eighteen years old.My parents said that it is ok with them if I move out as I am very responsible.The only problem is we are not sure how to find people that will rent to us because of us being so young,and I being under Eighteen.soo..I was wondering if anybody has any advise.I DO NOT want to stay at home for another year.thank you:)

TasteofIndia agony auntShared housing is so much fun. That's what I did with a buddy when we took off after high school. That's when the landlord rents out rooms in a house, and there's a bunch of people living there - it's seriously, awesome. And a good way to save a lot of money on rent and utilities.

Check out Craigslist.org for potential places, and for just apartments as well. Craigslist is the best!!
