Hello

hi , im nat im 16. Well i've just finished my first 6 weeks at 6th form and yeah, it's ok, but i'ts given me second thoughts. I want to do something with fashion i've been told i have talent i've done abit of making and i have a portfolio etc but i dont know whether to stay at 6th form and finish off my A levels ( Art english drama and psychology,) or go to a fashion centre.

i really enjoyed my work experience making clothes for a weeek and i did shine. although id love to go back there i dont know if its best to get A levels to fall back on, then go to the design centre. i have spoken to my teachers about this, but they havent helped much....well at all.

any guidance will be much appreciated :)

A bit of advice for you - you will have to do a lot of work experience. Im a fashion PR myself. All the designers have huge teams of interns working for them - as indeed we do in our office. Send your CV off and be prepared to work for free.

Also, just to warn you - it means long hours, its not well paid (at least not for years until you hit the big time), its very competitive and a VERY bitchy industry!! Not trying to put you off but you should know the facts!!!
