writes: I am 16 and my best friend is also, we are both girls and i love her to death as a friend, but sometimes it feels like more. me and my best friend always text flirtatiously and we even talk that way. well today we were hanging out and laying in my bed. we were flirting and holding hands and cuddling. we are always this way even in front of our parents. today i got a feeling that i wanted to kiss her. we have kissed before but it was a dare so it doesnt really mean anything. today while we were laying in bed she placed her hands on my face and neck and placed her nose on mine and looked in my eyes. i wanted to kiss her but i didnt know how she would react. but before i did she turned her head and kissed my cheek. i want to kiss her so bad and i know when im going to do it i just dont know how.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 December 2010): Ive been in the same position to, im 17 now- and I can tell you that if she cares enough about you as a mate you will be able to talk about it slyly- dont bring it up as an actual topic about her- but rather just about kising anatha girl in general... if she ever asks who you would like to kiss, especialy in a flirtatious way, then you will know she is at least curious and it wouldnt hurt to tell her then, just make sure you keep things in a playfull situation, that way if you ever want to bail out you can just tell her you were joking (: Maybe thru text wil be easier too. Well it sounds like she is very comfortable with you, but if she feels the same way as you well that is harder to tell, if you to try and kiss her that is totally up to you and i wouldnt dream of telling you what to do one way or the other.
Just be prepared for both outcomes, if she kisses you back are you ready for that and the difficult feelings that unfortunately may come with it.
If she doesnt kiss you back or pulls away you need to be ready for her reaction and that fact it may affect you as friend( it may not im just point things out).
I am in no way trying to put you off, in my personal opinion it sounds like she may feel the same but thats just me, i just want you to be ready for all the things that will come after the actual kiss, i remember been you at 16!
