My friends have a million friends that are boys. Is there any way I can gain his trust? Is your mom around? Maybe you could talk to her and have her explain your side of things to your father.
If your mom isn't there, then talk it over with your father again. Tell him that you're a responsible young adult and that you don't drink, you're doing good in school, etc, but you need to have a little bit of freedom as well.
Maybe the two of you can reach a compromise; for example that you'll hang out with your friends, but that you won't be out that late with them.
In the end, he's probably only being strict about it because he's worried that something might happen to you. It doesn't make it any less frustrating for you though.
