writes: Hey, i know i have foreskin that doesnt retreact a lot, i have never seen my whole penis head exposed, and have really bad smegma recently, im really concerned and want to go to the docter and maybe result to getting circumsision to make it go away, but im worried about asking my dad to take me, has anyone done this before? and can u go see the docter alone? and even so if i was to go with my dad could i go in alone? i want this to go as smoothly as possible...thanks

you can go to your doctor at any age and he has a patient confidentiality you will be perfectly safe. The Doc won't tell!

 Are you under 16? if so I think your dad may have to go with you but you could always ring the doctors up monday and ask them if you would be aloud to see the doctor alone or not. If you do have to take your dad dont worry he will understand. Everything will be ok so dont worry your self. If I was you I would speak to your parents about it now and maybe they will be able to advise you. You shouldnt ever be scared to speak with your parents as they love you and all they want is that you are ok,so go on and I know you will feel a bit shy at first but it will take a load off your mind. Also if you did have to go for an opp then they will have to sign forms if you are too young to do it for your self,so do it now rather than later sweety. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

 Yes you could go in and see the doctor on your own. Explain to your dad that you want to do it that way but he will be concerned as to what the problem is. You will have to tell him what is up with you and you never know he could have had the same problem.
