Right on, Daletom! :D Wow! I'm glad to see others out there cherishing these songs as much as I do! :D However, being female, my age is a closely guarded secret...thrown in a steel box, buried under concrete and guarded my two dragons-Fluffy and Tabasco :p hehe. But yes, "Knights in White Satin" is a song I hold sacred...it's beauty drenches every note, every sung word and the poem that follows...hauntingly lovely...

Hey, "followtheblackrabbit", how old ARE you? You hit the two I'd dedicate to my wife, and at least of them for the same reason.
"Nights in White Satin" (Moody Blues) grabbed my attention when it was originally released, back when I was in High School, before I ever had a girlfriend. Really deep lyrics - great orchestral arrangement. The Graeme Edge poem that immediately follows (on the original album) is even more insightful. (The "Days of Future Passed" album is really one long, extended work, with "Nights in White Satin" providing a dramatic and hard-hitting conclusion. It didn't get the airplay it deserved on initial release, because it didn't fit the the popular radio format of the time based on singles with 3:10 running times. It was almost impossible for a DJ to pull one of the tracks off the album without tape transfers and editing, since there was less than 1 second of "silent groove" between the cuts.)
And, of course, "Unchained Melody" (Righteous Brothers). This keeps getting revived, covered, and re-released every 10 years or so. For many years now, whenever that comes on the radio, my wife and I have to find each other and slow-dance to it. This almost always happens when we're at home, but has also occurred when we were waiting for a carry-out pizza. One time we were stuck in a traffic jam when it came on the radio, so I pulled off, cranked up the radio, and we did it right there beside Little River Turnpike. (That's a great way to get even with your kids by embarrassing the heck out of them.)

I have a perfect one which my soul-mate and I share and call our own. I am not going to tell you what it is because it is personal to us and that's what yours should be to you and your loved one.
Put something of YOU into it and don't be lazy.
Ivan.

You goofy retired people! on that note I'd send my boss the "Take This Job and Shove It" song. Then maybe I could sit around and think of stuff like this.

How sweet! "knights in white satin" - the moody blues because this song is romantic yet deep-speaks of a love that isn't exactly easy. Gotten - by Slash feat. Adam Levigne...reminds me of my first love and the way we can still remember being the only ones who understand each other...how it was seeing him after the break-up :p "Plus que c'est ma rose" Little Prince soundtrack reminds me of my godchild. "Love Gun" by Kiss, spent an entire night jumping up and down to this song with my best friend :p "Unchained Melody" Righteous Brothers...sang to me by my dad when I was a baby :) "Madame" by Claude Barzotti my mom and I's fav driving song. "Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too by Say Anything...lol reminds me of jokes in high school. "Cumbia de los Muertos" reminds me of my best friend, he did an awesome dance fusion to this :D

Iris (Goo Goo Dolls) always reminds me of my husband. That song was played at the bar on the night we first saw each other. Of course if I hadn't met and married him I dare say I would have room in my life for John Rzeznik who is the lead singer of the Goo Goo Dolls.

If you are wanting to dedicate a song to someone then you need to do this on your own and not with the help of others, you can look on the internet at lyrics and see which ones would describe your relationship best.
