we broke up because of how i treated him. i was at a very bad point in my life when we met and he stuck by me through it even if i treated him badly. i would take things out on him. we both decided that it would be better for me to fix the problems that arose when we first got together. he actually made the suggestion to try and work things out.

I broke up with somebody and contemplated getting back with them. This was one of my concerns, I didn't know if we can ever feel the same about each other again.
I decided not to pursue it (for different reasons, but i had thought about this one).
Hopefully someone with experience of breaking it off and getting back, a guy's view, can post and let you in on what he's feeling.
What was the reason for breaking up? Did you or him call it off? And who made the suggestion to start up again?
