writes:My ex bf broke up with me. Why would he continue to to contact me and put me down for being who I am etc? And then suddenly he would start sucking up and being nice to me by complmenting etc and inviting me to social events? Hes been doing this for the last month since we broke up. He is the one who ended it though. So you would think he would just cut contact? Why would he care enough to go out of his way to put me down? Why would he pretend to be nice to me?

No one knows what's going on in his head... But I think your real question should be why you keep taking his calls and texts?
If he's been horrible to you then cut contact.
