But I was wrong. My friend introduced me to him and I told him "you're really cute," :) and he laughed and said "I don't think so" and I said "you really are..."It was in the spur of the moment and very funny since all of my guy friends were there, and one of them was like "Nah, she's just playing," and I said I was serious and that I've been wanted to talk to him.and when he smiled I told him he had a sexy smile, and he flipped his binder a little with his hands and laughed as if to say "Aww, shucks I give up!" hahaI was forward though, and I was worried but after my friends left, he and I talked nearly the whole class period getting to know each other, then he left to go charge his phone. The next day, my friends kept teasing and saying that I had creeped him out. When they left, I went to go ask him and he said no.He acts differently when our friends are around but when it's just us he seems comfortable and we talk alot when he's not doing schoolwork.(And we have normal convos XD it's not just me telling him how cute he is). and maybe it's just me but I try to think about how I'd feel if someone came up to me and told me nice things about myself, I'd be happy with them being around me(especially if I thought they were cute) but I'd be a little denying if I was with my friends too.Am I right?

I don't think it's creepy that you told him. I always tell guys (even ones who I don't fancy) if I think they've done something cute. Providing they're not some really tough, muscley, 'hard' guy I think he will have took it as a great compliment. Definitely sounds like you're going in the right direction with him! Hope this helps :)

You told how what you thought, so don't feel bad. He might have been a little embarrassed, you know cute is for kitten, rainbows.... But I truly think if he was creeped out he would avoid you like the plague, and he isn't.
So just keep talking to him.
Flirting should be very subtle, not a Mac truck in your face :) You will learn.
