You will find out later in life just how rare it was that this girl was honest with you. Most women would just say they love you too because they're afraid to tell the truth or feel obligated to say they love you so as not to damage your feelings. However, had she told you she loved you knowing that she didn't you would be hurting a lot worse in the end than what you are now.
This gal was very brave to be so open about her feelings. She made you aware of her feelings for someone else because she didn't want you to get hurt. Be thankful for that.
I think you owe her a little apology for your crass behaviour. It was right for you to end the relationship but it could have been handled a little more gracefully. Even though she hurt you by not loving you too, she did save you from a world of pain that I don't think you're ready to understand or deal with at this point in your life.

I think so. You need time to get over her, so to cut contact really is the best. However, she was honest with you, so please respect and remember that.

hey, you approached her and told her you loved her, she did the right thing and gave your statement some thought, and then she let you know she doesnt feel the same about you.
Then you told her to stay out of your life
FOREVER?
She sound to me like the sort of girl who would make a good friend, thoughtful and honest.

Teenage girls don't know what the hell they want. I would say you were right to tell her to go away. If she regrets what she did she'll come back to you. If she doesn't then it was for the best. There is no shortage of women, you'll find another.
