writes: I need some opinions......I'm at high school and this year I have my ball/prom... I've been friends with this guy for a long time and we're really good friends but this year we have no classes together and he has his own friends and i have mine and we hardly ever talk unless it that occasional "hi" I like him and he liked me but i dont know anymore , everyone just says we should go out but that never happendSo the ball/prom is coming and i was really thinking that he would ask me but he never did, instead he asked this other girl ( and she doesn't like me, cause she knows that we're really good friends and i swear she likes him, and her and that guy are best friends) Well they're going to the ball together and not just as friends... i'm sure of it! The thing is i dont know what to do, i really like him and i never told him but sometimes it was impossible to tell if he liked me or not or just good being friends.... Now i hate knowing that he is going to the ball with that chic who goes from one guy to another and even though they are best friends, i still dont like the idea! What should i do!!!!!!!??????

 It seems like he probably thought you weren't interested and asked someone else. If you knew he liked you, why didn't you turn on that flirty charm and give him a hint that you liked him too? He probably misread you and just assumed that you weren't interested since you weren't giving him any signals.
If that girl goes from one guy to another, she'll be done with him soon enough. Once he is, take the opportunity to speak up and go for it!!
