 You should probably drop her into conversation with your friend, see if he still feels anything for her, its better to ask or to find out if he has then to just go for it you don't want to lose a friend and upset him or hurt his feelings in the process.
Then, talk to her and ask whats going on, how she feels and things, you'll never know if you don't ask.
