Most of my semen landed on me or the bed whilst my girlfriend said none of it landed on her. She was in her side and I ejaculated into the air straight up. I had taken the condom off just before I ejaculated.I'm worried that maybe just a small amount landed on her and at right position reached her vagina entrance. I usually assumed that you could only get pregnant through intercourse and it had to travel up the uterus rather than just travel down to the vagina. I also thought that sperm died after a few seconds in the air but some say it can last for several hours. Is there a chance my girlfriend is pregnant? I feel stupid asking this.

No, as a pregnancy and birth professional..there is no chance she is pregnant.

Sperm can only live if it is in a wet surface. If she was still wet, then its possible. However, it is highly unlikely because she wasn't under nor ontop of you. You are most likely just freaking out and thinking of every possibility, it happens. I wouldn't stress.

It is true that in some cases sperm can live long enough to enter this way, if they landed on her vagina. However, the chances of this are smaller than winning the lottery. Don't feel stupid asking this question, it crosses ALL of our minds. I'm glad you're being responsible and thinking about it rather than ignoring the possible issue.

If it got in her vagina then there is a very, very, very, small chance of that happening. But remember, sperm is microscopic. It has a very long journey to go and the longest it can live in a woman's body is three days (if it doesn't die even sooner). It's good to be informed, but no, it doesn't sound like your girlfriend is pregnant.

No, not even a remote chance. It's not like an airborne virus, it actually has to be put in there. They don't in a few seconds in the air, but they can't really move. There isn't even a small chance of this happening. Don't worry about it.
