working out will help reduce fat around the area but if there is tissue behind the areola, a condition called gynecomastia, it will not go away with exercise. lots of teens and mature men (30s/40s) have this problem because of the shift in hormone ballance.
sometimes they will go away when puberty passes but if they remain after that, then surgery will be your only option.
http://www.gynecomastia.org/smf/ you will find lots of help and advise on this site.
good luck!

Dont worry dude, ask for all the advice you want;-) as for the weight thing, the exercises kenny pointed out will do you wonders! If you dont have dumbells at home, I would seriously recommend in getting some. But dont worry if you cant get them, push ups will work fine too. Dont know how many reps u can do straight away but still, I'd say try for 4 sets of 30 repetitions. If you cant manage that, start off at 20. Eventually you'll be able to do loads without breaking a sweat and get a nice lean chest;-) message me if you need any more info!

Before you go on any diet or fitness regime, please check with your doctor first. He may suggest gentle excerise to start with, before building up toward muscle toning & strengthening. If you need to lose weight, please do it gradually. When you`ve lost weight, there will be some loose skin, that will need toning. Picture a balloon, blown up over thanksgiving; when it deflates, it does not have the same tightness it started out with. That`s what happens to our bodies, BUT, as balloons can`t move, and we CAN!, we can do something about it! I suggest you get some loosing weight / excersise Videos/DVD`s etc (your local library can loan them to you). Start at your own pace, if it`s only 10 mins per day it`s a start. As each day passes, & you feel you`ve achieved something, please pat yourself on the back!. I`m not going to ask anymore of you right now, I hope you`l be able to let us know how you get on, and we can take it from there. And NO, we don`t get sick & tired of you, or anyone, asking for help online. We don`t get paid for this, it`s volentary, we do it because we care! With Love, Heather.

Don't be silly that is what the agony aunts are on here for to help with personal problems.
Im not really that clued up when it comes to man boobs, but i think that just by losing weight will not get rid of this, as i have seen thin guys with this problem.
I think doing chest excercises will help cure this, such as the bench press, dumbell flys, incline and decline bench press will all help tone up around this particular region.
Hope this helps.
