raychell agony auntFirst off all to clear things up lol I heart you is what guys use when they aren't quiet in love with you yet but they do really like you and when lust is tottally out of the question. Maybe he thinks that if he says it back to you that you will freak out or be taken abck if he did say it back to you. When he does finally say I love you then it shows that he has trust in you and that he is virtually besotted with you. I agree with yummy mummy here by the fact that he didnt just say it because its what you wanted to here it proves that he is just being honest to with you. Personally I dont think its anything to worry about hes just building up to it and tryingto find the right moment to say it.

Good Luck

A female reader, anonymous, writes (19 July 2007):

His reaction to what you said could have been worse. It could have put him off you as some guys don't like it when their girlfriends go all serious on them. The hugging and kissing seems like a good sign. It seems that he took the declaration of love well. When he said 'i heart you' i think that he meant 'i love you' but said 'i heart you' instead as most guys find it harder to express their feelings than most girls.

YummyMummy agony auntMales are sometimes afraid to show their true feelings, or he just may not be in "love" with you yet. Don't take the fact he didn't say it personally. He will say it in time if he does fall in love with you. Least he didn't just say it because he knew that was what you would want to hear.

I would ask him what I heart you means as I see that shared between teens on myspace and have never used it myself so am unsure.
