I regret my reaction to my boyfriend telling me he was bipolar! Help!

My bf just told me that he was bipolar im just 13 and i didnt like him at first but now i love him to death. He thinks im always going to break up with him but im really not. After he told me his bggest secret.... that he was bipolar, i was a jerk. now i am crying over it and cant call... its 11:00pm. and im scared he won't answer the phone tomorrow. I regret it its just..... im going through a hard time already. I need help!!!

rcn agony auntyour welcome. tell him he needs to work with you as far as maintaining his behavior. Such as his fear of being rejected. If he recognizes the symptoms of when he may act that way, he can divert it before it comes out.

3dg13 agony auntthank you. And no. but i knew that he was always asking do u really like me are you going to break up with me like 3x a day. And if i knew i wouln't have been so rude. It was a lot for me to take in.. Thanks so much

rcn agony auntWas his bipolar affecting you before he said it? bipolar is a disorder, but it's manageable. getting upset at him for having it is not good because he can't help that he has it. bipolar is a biological disorder, so one of his parents may have it as well. he's born with it. at his age, he can learn to manage this disorder. it's also a common disorder. when dealing with someone who has a disorder, take time to understand them. it'll make being associated with them easier.
