writes:I am a 17 year old closeted lesbian...I've never been in a relationship with another female but I have had some drunken hookups (as a closeted lesbian it's easy to "blame" alcohol). Lately, however, I've been really wanting to get into a relationship with another girl. The only problem is I only like super feminine females... I myself am very girlie (love makeup, clothing, heels) and am only attracted to girls like myself. It seems that girls that fall under this category are usually straight. It's just SO frustrating! It's also hard because I am 17 so it's not like I can go to a gay bar. Any advice for me would be would be great, I know this may sound silly but I really want to find someone to be with.

 I actually think it's all stereotypical that all lesbians are "butch" because all my past girl friends have been girlie with long hair. I get what you mean that it's hard to tell and sometimes it's just down to going for it and asking. In a lot of circumstances it will be obvious anyway.

hiya im 17 and just want to say I know how you feel. I don't think I can give you my advice because I still have strong feelings for my old female teacher and can't stop thinking about her. She never knew my feelings about her and that makes it even harder as my friends are straight and they would just go ga ga if they knew. It's especially hard at night when in bed where I feel completely alone if you know what I mean. But I'm now coming to realise deep down that I won't ever get her into my life and I'm trying hard to get through this. I tried plentyoffish.com like that lady said, ages ago but I just got really insensitive shallow people because I'm looking for something deeper, and someone nice and sensitive to be with as well, so I just want to wish luck. It would be nice to know how you got on though. take care

 It does not sound silly at all! Very girly gay girls are not the most common, well generally, but they are certainly out there.
Well bars is a good place to start but there is the age thing.
I know internet dating may sound weird but it is a good way to meet people and check them out before you meet giving you a chance to see if yoy get along.

and similar sites to help look for girls in your area.
