He even said he didn't wanna know me for the rest of his life. Now he wants to be friends, he wants to contact me every day, he don't wanna speak on the phone as he says he or we still have issues from our relationship.I would like to point out he and I had a fantastic relationship, never ever argued it was great until he told his mother about my children. Can we be friends... I'm not sure, I really miss him but I want to be close to him as we were.

I think its very hard to be friends with someone you had a relationship with straight away. I tried it myself recently, but its made the getting over my ex ten times harder, because she likes to talk about her current boyfriend, who she started to see a couple of days after I left her.I've learnt to realise that things will never be the same between us, probably because i'm too scarred to ask her anything incase she starts talking about him again. I don't think its very healthy to keep in close contact with your ex, it will just hurt too much when you both start seeing other people.
