Early the next morning I woke up with a sore throat and it has been a bit sore ever since, well not in the day but each night. Could I have caught an STD or would the next morning be too soon for symptoms? No idea if I've just got a bit of a viris/cold and am totally over reacting, or whether I could have an STD. Someone please put my mind at ease!!!!

Sometimes deep throating can cause your throat to be sore and feel uncomfortable. So if you did, that could be the reason.I hope it gets better soon.

do you smoke cigarettes? and also after i have oral sex with my husband my lips hurt and i get friction under them so it could just be all in your head but it won't hurt to consult a md.

i'm no expert, but if it is worrying you that much either see your doctor or call a health line. i'm sure it is nothing serious. did you use a condom?

I dont think you would have symptoms so soon...but dont take my word on that, im not an expert.
It could be just that you are worried, so you are actually 'creating' the sore throat yourself. I know that when I first started having sex, I was sooo scared of geting pregnant, and even despite using protection, I would stress so much it would cause me to skip periods and that would make me think i was pregnant...when really i wasnt.
Put your mind at ease and get an STD check. Better to be safe then sorry.
