it might help you to get over her if you see her reason for not wanting to be with you for what it really is...
she isn't attracted to you but she does not want to hurt your feelings or lose your friendship by being so blunt. i know you are disappointed that you cannot have the girl you really want but you will come to terms with it and then give the other girls a chance. maybe you just have not met one yet that you prefer

Like you said, she is important to you. and these feelings towards her you maybe confusing with friendship and "love". so you must think of her as your friend and until you are properly over her you cant get into anything serious as you dont want to hurt anyone else.
However, to get her off your mind you can hang out with other friends, im not saying take her out your life of course. But see your other friends and get a hobby. It will be hard but as always, time is always the healer of these sort of things. Good Luck!!
