I broke up with my ex last december because he treated me like dirt and now I am with this great guy who I love so much and our relationship could possibly lead to getting married in the distant future. And even though I'm with this great guy I am so devestated by how much my ex hurt me and I can't stop thinking about it. I've had trust issues since I was about 12 and he made it all worse. I find that many times I suddenly find myself so lonely and vulnerable and sad. It's soo hard and I don't want to feel this way anymore. What should I do? I need to forget my ex and everything he did but I can't stop thinking about it and then thinking about it makes me sooo sad. Please if you have any advice or anything it would be a great help.

It can be really hard to let go of the past, have you talked about what you went through with somone cause it helps to get things out.you just have to remember that not all men are the same, focus on your current boyfriend and how much he loves you, enjoy eachother, you will never get over your past but its time to look to the future guys like your ex have got problems dont let it be a problem for you, do what it takes to make you happy because life is too short and you dont deserve to be unhappy because of some stupid perthetic excuse of a man. i hope everything works out for you.
